If you’re sick of dyeing your hair , but going grey is scary in so many ways…

You need to join us for:

To Grey Or Not To Grey

Decide once and for all whether to keep dyeing your hair or to go grey.

We’ll support you either way!

Discover how YOU want your hair as you age.

At last - no more stress about what to do with your hair!

Make a decision from your empowered truth rather than from should’s and external influences.

• Ditch grey-shaming cultural influences so whatever you decide, it’s your decision.

• Feel like a gorgeous goddess with your hair at this age. Because you are.

• Step forward with a community of peers supporting your clarity to keep dyeing or to go grey!

It’s the midlife dilemma that we know all too well.

To grey or not to grey requires us to free ourselves from anti-aging, media-fueled bullshit in order to make a decision that comes from within.

Decide to grey or to keep dyeing.

Either way we support you - we just want your choice to come from your actual inner truth!

• No more stress about what to do for your hair color.

• Actual excitement for next steps to grow the grey out, OR deep peace to keep dyeing because it comes from what you want rather than external pressure.

• Freedom from what others think about your hair.

• Feel beautiful about your hair, rather than stressed and tired about it all.

• Feel like yourself again. With a new strut in your walk. Because you’ve consciously chosen this new version of yourself, whether you go gray or not.

• Buoyed up by your To Grey Or Not To Grey group to stand firmly in your own beliefs and desires about your hair.

The familiar vicious cycle for so many of us:

Ugh, time to spend all the time and money to touch up my hair color.

Can’t believe I have to do this every month. Aging is such a bitch.

And it’s never quite the color I’d like it to be.

But if I don’t touch up, it will do that fading thing, plus the grey roots will start to show.

And if I grow out the grey, I will look OLD.

Ugh, I don’t want others to see me that way, much less see myself that way.

But I am soooo tired of dyeing my hair.

And it’s not like this will stop, this is for the rest of my life.

Maybe I should just let it grow out?

I wish I could just have my original hair color back.

It was much simpler then.

But it’s never coming back.

Ugh, time to spend all the money and time to dye my hair” (Vicious cycle begins again)

It’s a big freaking decision to go grey or to keep dyeing.

It affects how you perceive yourself.

How others perceive you.

How you’re treated in society.

But one thing is clear:

The real answer comes from your inner truth when you strip away all external messaging.

Each of us deserves:

To choose to grey or not to grey from a place of joy and love for ourselves and what we want.

(Rather than from social conditioning or worry about what others will think)

  • If you choose to go grey...

    • Feel not only truly at peace with growing out your grey, but actually excited about it.

    • Have an army of amazing women cheering you on as you grow your grey while navigating friend, family and cultural responses, plus your own reactions as your grey grows.

  • If you decide to keep dyeing your hair…

    • Dye your hair from a place of joy and true desire, rather than from fear about how the world (and you) will perceive you with grey hair.

    • Have an army of amazing midlife women celebrating your clarity, and your decision to keep dyeing your hair because it’s what YOU want.

Let’s get you clear on your decision and support you in it!

Power isn’t in the color of your hair.

It’s in who decided.

So, a moment of truth.

Before you scroll any further, take a deep breath.

Ask yourself:

How much of my energy has been tangled up in hair dye, aging fears, and other people’s opinions?

What if I could drop all that noise, make my choice, and feel damn good about it — grey or not?

If your body just sighed in relief… this incubator is calling you.

This isn’t about hair or which choice you make — it’s about reclaiming your right to decide who you are becoming.

Session 1: Break Free

  • Feel the deep exhale of being seen — share your grey-hair story with women who get it, and feel your stress melt as you’re witnessed without judgment.

  • We’ll give cultural grey-shaming the middle finger — we’ll name it and release its grip for good so that we can each see the truth about what we want for our hair without external influence.

Session 2: Clear The Way

  • Silence the chorus of friends, family, and ads in your head so your own voice and choice can finally take center stage.

  • Gently grieve the loss of your original hair color so that you’re not stuck in the past and can move forward with clarity.

Session 3: Own Your Truth

  • Get crystal clear on what you truly want for your hair — free from anti-aging pressure, cultural noise, or fear of being seen as “old.”

  • Speak your truth out loud and feel the power that comes when you express it without censoring or worrying about what others will think.

Session 4: Claim Your Decision

  • Claim your decision — to go grey or to keep dyeing — and feel the solid ground of owning it fully.

  • Celebrate with your sisters as you graduate into your new, unapologetically authentic look (and energy).

Hi I’m Lisa, Your Guide

And have I been on a To Grey Or Not To Grey journey of my own!

At first I plucked my grey hairs, then when there were too many, I couldn’t bear the thought of no longer having that full head of rich brown hair, so I got into the dye cycle.

Dyeing did its job, but in my case I could never get it to fully match my old color. Plus the money, the time and the hassle - I really wanted to break free. But that meant coming to terms with going grey.

As an Interspiritual Minister with a specialty in major life passages, I applied everything that I knew about loss and change to create a process for myself - the exact process that we’ll do in To Grey Or Not To Grey - and finally got clear that, by my own desires, I wanted to go grey.

I went through the awkward growing-out phase and even had tri-color hair for a while, which was so silly that I had to laugh.

Now my grey is fully grown and I’m salt and pepper with solid grey streaks on either side of my face. It has been a deeply enriching personal growth journey with soul-searching along the way.

And even though I decided to go grey, I fully support those who choose to color. The key is that its our CHOICE.

Sign Up Here!

You’ll emerge from the one-month incubator rocking a new freedom and self confidence because your choice to dye your hair or go grey will have zilcho to do with cultural shame or external pressure.

FAQ

Still wondering if To Grey Or Not To Grey is right for you? Here’s more info!

General FAQ’s

  • Yes! If you are having bad symptoms that are affecting your quality of life and in any stage of your menopause journey. Perimenopause is if you’re having menopause symptoms and you’re still getting your period, even irregularly. Post menopause is if you’ve reached 12 months without a period. The Bad Symptoms Warrior process is powerful for women in perimenopause and also for women in post menopause.

  • Great question! And nope, this isn’t a health or medical course. This program is for the inner personal growth work that makes all the difference in how you approach your menopause symptoms. To address your symptoms on a physical health or medical level, please reach out to your health providers.

  • Yes, all sessions are online for this program. It’s amazing how much connection we can foster even in Zoom meetings. It’s all about the experiences and activities provided - these will ensure that you experience real connection.

AND a cool in-person bonus: If you participate in a Free Your Menopause 4-week or 6-week program on Zoom, you automatically receive a ticket to our once-yearly in-person retreat. These usually happen in the summer in Boulder, Colorado USA. The retreat is a day-long immersion and all you have to do is pay for your food and lodging - the retreat itself is free for you. This is a wonderful way to meet your program sisters in person, plus also other participants from other Free Your Menopause programs.

  • Yes, all sessions are recorded. You’ll have access online for one year, and then you’ll be given the option to download the videos when the year of access comes to an end. So you can revisit the process any time you need a refresh. You can also download the videos to keep on your own devices at any time, not just when the year is up.

And if you miss a session, it will be recorded and posted in the online portal within 24 hours. You’ll also have all the Action Pack between-session prompts and support inside the group space — you won’t miss a beat.

  • That’s another important question, glad you asked. And yes, to participate, you are required to show yourself on video during our Zoom meetings. This creates the safety that we need to have a container where we can go deep. If one or more participants aren’t showing themselves on Zoom, it will feel as if there are strangers in the room and it will be hard to open up. So yes, we definitely want to see you!

And yes, you’ll be sharing personally. It’s really what makes the program so powerful. Sharing your own truths and having them witnessed by others is empowering and cathartic. Hearing others’ truths will give you insight into yours, plus there is also healing and catharsis in being the witness.

Most find that once they see how real and judgment-free this space is, they want to share. There’s something magical that happens when you realize everyone else is navigating the same wild ride, and that our collective sharing creates a “whole is greater than the sum of its parts” synergy for all.

  • Lisa Hunter, founder of Free Your Menopause. Read all about the Free Your Menopause mission and Lisa here :)

  • Important question. No, this is not therapy. This is guided life passage work facilitated by Lisa who is an Interspiritual Minister. This work guides you to understand menopause as a major life passage, and within that context helps you navigate the various challenges and opportunities that surface during a major life passage, which not coincidentally are the main topics of each program ;)

In some cases you might find that emotions or issues that come up would be best helped by therapy, in which case you can work with a therapist too.

Bottomline, this program can beautifully complement therapy, but it is not a substitute for therapy.

  • Nope. You just have to be navigating peri or post menopause. You’ll hear words like “rite of passage” and “sacred,” but there’s no dogma, religion, or belief system to sign onto. This work IS spiritual in that you will feel deeply and connect with your own important truths, plus also feel connected with others. You can do that whether you see yourself as a “spiritual” person or not, and whether you’ve been in programs like this before or if this your very first one. “Spiritual” here just means meaningful.

  • Yes — absolutely. This space honors the full spectrum of identities, bodies, and lived experiences. If you are a person navigating menopause, you belong here.

We do use the word “woman” on this site, which does not apply to all in peri or post menopause AND we welcome everyone who is experiencing this transition.

  • If you sign up, then attend the first session and decide it’s not for you, then let us know via email within 24 hours of the end of that first session and you can have a full refund, less the transaction fees to receive and refund your money (usually around $25 total).

To Grey Or Not To Grey FAQ’s

  • There are four sessions on Zoom. Each session is 2 hours in length. You’ll use your downloadable Action Pack between sessions to guide you in an in-real-life practice, and you’ll share about how it’s going in the discussion thread in your group’s online portal.

Each group is small and cozy — minimum of 5 women and max of 13 women — so that we have the benefit of intimacy and really getting to know each other, while also varied experiences and perspectives.

If you haven’t already, earlier on this page you can read in-depth here about how the sessions are facilitated.

And you can read in-depth here about the focus and outcome for each session.

Each week builds on the last, guiding you out of cultural conditioning → personal clarity → confident change & choice → celebration.

  • Nope — this is a personal growth program focused on helping you make a choice about your hair that is the “truest to you” choice that you could possibly make. We’re not here to talk products or techniques. We’re here to talk about freedom, self-permission, and how YOU want to show up in this next season of your life.

  • Nope. It’s for any woman who’s ready to finally make a clear, self-honoring decision — whether that means embracing your natural grey or joyfully choosing to keep dyeing. You’ll be supported, celebrated, and respected either way.

  • Never. We’ll celebrate whatever decision you make — the whole point is that it’s your decision, free from pressure or shame.

  • Then you’ll love this space because you’ll get to affirm that choice from joy, not fear. Many join thinking they’ll stop dyeing, only to realize what they truly want is to keep dyeing… but from a place of knowing and celebrating that the choice came from their true desire rather than from external pressure.

  • Totally normal. This process gives you a safe, supportive circle to explore those fears and move through them.

You can stay in touch with any program sisters who want to stay in touch afterward in order to cheer you on as you go through the unavoidably awkward “grow out” stage. And often you’ll discover that your natural grey feels more radiant than you expected.

  • It might look like a small choice, but this work goes far deeper. Most realize this isn’t just about hair; it’s about identity, worth, visibility, and permission to evolve. Making peace here ripples into every area of your life — how you see yourself, how you show up, how you claim your next chapter.

  • You’ll walk away with your decision anchored in confidence, peace, and sisterhood — and a process you can return to anytime you’re facing a change that asks for inner truth over outer noise.

And if you’re still unsure by the end, you will still have made so much headway. You’ll have shined a light on external influences on your decision and you’ll have come closer to clarity about a choice that is true to what you really want for yourself.

You are welcome to stay in touch with any program sisters who want to keep connecting, and there are also other programs like Menopause Coming-Of-Age Camp that are all about identifying inner truths as well - so you if you like, you can continue in the Free Your Menopause container to keep honing in on your decision.
