And ooh wee, have I had a journey with menopause anger outbursts.

Ever-agreeable, people-pleasing, conflict-avoiding for the first four decades of my life, I hit my 50’s and didn’t recognize this seemingly crazy self who would burst into uncontrollable rage rants at my husband.

I felt awful, ashamed and like a horrible person. Until I realized that anger outbursts can be part of the menopause rite of passage. Particularly for those of us who’ve been masters at suppressing opinions and feelings in the first half of our lives.

Having gone to school as an Interspiritual Minister specializing in life passages, I conjured up a step-by-step path to recognize my anger as a gift causing me to claim truth, and to use it as a healing tool rather than a weapon.
